Snow leopards

Snow leopards are big cats that live in the Himalayas and they eat Argali wild sheep, blue sheep, ibexes, marmots, pikas, deer, and other small mammals but their favourite prey are blue sheep and ibexes. Their scientific name is panthera uncia but they’re also called ghost cats because they’re super rare. They can run at 64km/h and they can jump 50 feet! Snow leopards can’t roar, so they mark territory by rubbing scents on rocks, by peeing or by scratching on rocks. They can live 22 years in captivity, but in the wild they only live 10 to 12 years. Fun fact: snow leopards are closer to tigers than leopards!
